Anatomy of a Five-Year Reunion
I'm back from a splendid weekend at my five-year reunion at Colgate and wanted to share some pictures of the trip. As mentioned in my post last week, I was incredibly excited at the thought of staying in a college dorm room, catching up with old friends, and eating at all of my favorite Hamilton, NY establishments. Goal achieved!
As predicted, our first stop was at Roger's, a little deli that serves the best egg salad sandwiches in the world (I've done extensive research).
Then we took a drive around our gorgeous campus...
...making sure to stop and check out the brand new library.
We stopped by the bookstore to pick up some new Colgate gear...
...and stopped by the admissions office to hang out with Gary Ross, Dean of Admission.
That afternoon, we hung out in the Class of 2004 tent, participating in beer tasting, dancing, and catching up with friends.
That night, we participated in Colgate's traditional torchlight procession ceremony, in which hundreds of alumni carry flaming torches down the hill...
...and throw them into a giant bonfire!
We finished the night off with slices from Hamilton's famous New York Pizzeria (dubbed "Slices" by students)...
...and fell asleep in our dorm room.
